About us.

We are a pair of experienced carpenters and designers, based in Bristol. We have worked extensively in the carpentry, building and design field for over ten plus years. Throughout these years we have worked for small carpentry firms in Bristol, Canada and Ascot and have now started our own venture resulting in the creation of Archwood. We have always strived for quality in our work, ensuring we maintain great communication with our clients from start to finish so we can deliver projects always to the clients exact vision. In our work we always aim to be punctual, respectful and trustworthy.

The team.

Liam Burry

Throughout my carpentry career, I have worked both within and alongside construction teams, developing my skills from achieving high-level joinery in workshop settings to managing projects for small carpentry and construction companies across the Ascot and Bristol areas. My experience spans both domestic and commercial work, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the industry.

From the outset, I have been fortunate to work with individuals who emphasised that nothing is more important than quality craftsmanship—an ethos that continues to guide my work today. After working closely with Tom, it quickly became clear that we share the same values and ambition to keep learning while consistently striving for the highest possible standards.

With over 10 years of experience in carpentry and construction, I have developed strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring projects run efficiently and smoothly from start to finish. Ultimately, the most rewarding part of my work is hearing that a client is genuinely pleased with the results we have delivered

Tom O’Reilly

Originally trained in architecture, I graduated in 2020 before moving to Canada in 2022 to work alongside my brother as a trainee carpenter. Since then, I have built my career in the construction industry, developing a broad range of practical skills.

My first carpentry role involved building high-end homes from the ground up, giving me hands-on experience across every stage of the build. From groundworks and timber framing through to roofing, cladding, and second-fix carpentry, I gained a well-rounded understanding of the construction process and the importance of quality workmanship at every stage.

After returning to Bristol, I joined a local carpentry firm where I met Liam and continued to refine my skills and broaden my experience across residential and commercial projects.

My background in architecture and design allows me to bring a unique perspective to our work. I enjoy producing detailed design drawings, visual concepts, and practical solutions that bridge the gap between design and construction. By combining technical knowledge with hands-on experience, I help create bespoke spaces that are both functional and beautifully crafted, tailored to each client's individual needs.
